UCLA Football Offers Class of 2025 Offensive Tackle Aaron Dunn
The Bruins continue to ramp up their recruiting efforts in the Beehive State.
Class of 2025 offensive tackle Aaron Dunn picked up an offer from UCLA football, he announced Thursday on Twitter. The 6-foot-8, 280-pound mauler out of Spanish Fork (UT) is now the first out-of-state prospect in his class who the Bruins have offered.
Dunn's other offers are from BYU, Baylor, Washington State, Arizona State, Tennessee, Utah and Texas.
Although he has yet to document any unofficial visits, Dunn did camp at Dixie State in 2021 then Texas and Baylor in 2022.
Dunn earned an invite to last year's ESPN300 Elite Underclassmen Camp Series in Salt Lake City.
The right tackle also plays varsity basketball for Spanish Fork. Dunn averaged 14.6 points and 5.1 rebounds on 59% field goal shooting as a sophomore this season.
Dunn is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, but On3 has him pegged as a four-star. In the 247Sports Composite, Dunn is a four-star, and he is ranked as the No. 1 player in Utah, the No. 18 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 207 overall prospect in his class.
Among tackles in the Mountain and West regions, Dunn ranks No. 2 only behind Bishop Gorman (NV) product Douglas Utu.
UCLA has now offered seven prospects in the class of 2025. Before offering Dunn on Thursday and Mater Dei (CA) running back Jordon Davison earlier in the week, the Bruins had only offered quarterbacks and linebackers.
Dunn may be the first Utah native in his class to earn a UCLA offer, but it is the Bruins' most heavy-recruited non-California state in 2024. Of the 46 prospects UCLA have offered so far in the current cycle, seven are from Utah and all of them remain uncommitted.
Between their 2022 and 2023 high school recruiting classes, the Bruins added just two offensive linemen, both of whom were three-star prospects ranked outside the top 500 nationally – Sam Yoon and Tavake Tuikolovatu. Of the six who joined in the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes, four remain, none of whom were top 500 prospects.
Offensive line coach Tim Drevno is trying to turn that around, though, adding commitments from two class of 2024 tackles so far this offseason – three-star Mark Schroller and three-star Joshua Glanz.
