The Bruins have added another hot commodity out of the Pacific Northwest.

Class of 2024 linebacker Isaiah Patterson has verbally committed to UCLA football, the Yelm (WA) prospect announced in a video Wednesday on Twitter. Patterson took an official visit to Westwood the weekend of May 5, and he made his decision just a few weeks later.

Patterson had additional offers from Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, Nevada, Oregon, Washington State and he was also being pursued by Oklahoma, Oregon State and Texas.

Multiple experts from 247Sports predicted Patterson to wind up at UCLA over the past week, while a recent article from Scorebook Live heavily alluded towards the linebacker picking the Bruins.

Patterson earned invitations to the Polynesian Bowl and ESPN300 Elite Underclassmen Camp in Northern California in 2022. He followed up those showcases by being named an SSC First Team All-League linebacker in the fall, racking up 64 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks in eight appearances.

The 6-foot-3, 236-pound Patterson is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, Rivals and On3. In the 247Sports Composite, Patterson is ranked as the No. 11 player in the state of Washington, the No. 76 linebacker in the country and the No. 805 overall prospect in his class.

Patterson is ranked as the No. 2 linebacker in Washington, only behind his four-star Yelm teammate Brayden Platt, who put UCLA in his top eight in April.

The Bruins now have two incoming recruits from the Evergreen State, both of whom made their decisions this week following recent official visits. Three-star Mount Tahoma (WA) offensive tackle Marquise Thorpe-Taylor committed to UCLA on Saturday, going public with his pledge a few days before Patterson.

Between Patterson, Thorpe-Taylor, three-star offensive tackle Mark Schroller, three-star offensive tackle Joshua Glanz and four-star defensive back Khristian Dunbar-Hawkins, UCLA's five-man class of 2024 ranks No. 38 in the country and No. 3 in the Pac-12. The Bruins' class ranked No. 60 in the country and No. 8 in conference before Patterson and Thorpe-Taylor committed.
