UCLA Football: Senior LB Reveals Ethos For LA Bowl Vs Boise State
The UCLA Bruins football team hasn't won a postseason game since 2015, but they will be trying to break that streak against Boise State on Saturday. They will be taking on the Broncos from Sofi Stadium in the LA Bowl, with the chance to end the year on a high note.
This will be head coach Chip Kelly's third try to win a bowl game with the Bruins, and he is hopeful that they can get the job done. They finished the season dropping three of their last four games, finishing the year with a record of 7-5.
It was a frustrating year all around for the Bruins, but they are determined to keep fighting. There are a ton of seniors on the roster, so this bowl game means something special to them.
Bruins senior linebacker Kain Medrano expressed how he feels about this bowl game for UCLA. He does have another year of eligibility left but said that he hasn't thought about his future just yet.
“I want to go out there and give my all for my brothers,” Medrano said, “because I think they deserve that.”

For many on the UCLA roster, this will be the final game of their football careers, so the team wants to go out with a bang. While the season didn't turn out the way that anyone in the program would have liked, this is a chance to right the wrongs of the year.
The Bruins know it won't be easy, but they believe they will be coming in prepared despite the team missing some players. If they can come away with the win, it would cement the legacy for the seniors and send this program into the summer feeling much better about themselves.
