UCLA Football: Star Notre Dame Transfer Portal WR Commits to Bruins

Former Notre Dame WR has committed to UCLA.

In what might feel like a full-circle moment, the UCLA Bruins are getting back a recruit who nearly chose the college as his landing spot. Notre Dame star WR Rico Flores Jr. has revealed that he has committed after entering the transfer portal.

Rico Flores Jr. was the third leading receiver for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, as his freshman year saw the young player log 392 yards and a touchdown. 

Though there have been several UCLA players that have entered the transfer portal, Flores Jr. is the third to commit to the Bruins this week. He is the first offensive player to commit, and he should bring a lot of dynamic playmaking to the offensive output for the team. 

Flores Jr. joins star QB Ethan Garbers, who has been lighting up the 2023 season. We can't wait to see what eye-popping plays the pair can accomplish working together. 

This is a big get for the Bruins, as they are set to enter the Big Ten Conference next season. They will do so under the leadership of Coach Chip Kelly once again. Hopefully, Kelly and company can log a much more successful 2024 season. 

That can all begin this Saturday, as the LA Bowl will see the Bruins take on Boise State. Should the team come away with the win, it will be the perfect cap to their final game in the Pac-12 Conference.
