UCLA Football: Storied Pac-12 Rivalry May Have Final Chapter In November

Looking forward to this match!

Your UCLA Bruins will have a number of important games to look forward to this season as they get ready for the third official week of their 2023 campaign. It's safe to say that their roster is coming together during these early showcases as the Bruins remain undefeated during their first two games and will now look ahead to a week three matchup against NC Central.

Head coach Chip Kelly has already made it clear that even though Dante Moore shined in his first official start as quarterback, he will be keeping all of his options open to get the most of his other players at that slot. As a team in their 35-10 Saturday win over the San Diego State Aztecs, UCLA was able to record 550 total yards along with 296 passing yards and 254 rushing yards.

We certainly hope to continue to see this type of production from the Bruins no matter who they face off against but like I mentioned earlier, they likely have certain dates marked on their calendars.

Bleacher Report's David Kenyon believes that one of these includes their November matchup against the University of California, Berkeley due to it likely being their last meeting for a while due to conference changes.

"UCLA's main nemesis is USC, of course, yet those 92 all-time matchups are right in line with the Bruins' 93 games against Cal. This series began in 1939 and, remarkably, has continued as an uninterrupted rivalry through both World War II and the 2020 Covid-affected season. Entering 2023, UCLA carries a 57-34-1 mark. All good things must come to an end, though. (Probably.) UCLA is headed to the Big Ten alongside USC in 2024, while Cal is ACC-bound with Stanford. An immediate matchup is not expected. For now, the regular-season finale on Nov. 25 doubles as a goodbye to one of college football's most consistent rivalries."
