UCLA Football: Why Chip Kelly Doesn't Feel SDSU Blowout Was "Easy"

No matter how comfortable it seems, it's never easy

Your UCLA Bruins are set to take on the North Carolina Central Eagles for their third game of the season at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins are heavy favorites in this game and will look to dominate on all facets of the ball.

Similar to what they did in their Week 2 win against the San Diego State Aztecs. The Bruins played their complete game of the season last Saturday with a dominant win over a Mountain West team that has been great for many years and a team they lost to four years ago.

It was a great team win for the Bruins, and after the game, head coach Chip Kelly spoke to the media. One of the reporters asked Kelly if he was surprised the game seemed "easy," and Kelly wasn't having any of that.

"I didn't think it was easy. Check my heart rate. I didn't think it was easy. People think that maybe from the outside, but they were close. I thought that Alex Johnson was huge for us, coming up two really big plays for us but until about three minutes to go in the game, I was feeling good until that time."

Well, the Bruins made it seem easy, especially in the second and third quarters, as they scored 28 out of their 35 points in those quarters and held SDSU to only three points in those middle quarters.

The Bruins will look for the same result or even better by Kelly's standards for tomorrow's clash against the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference North Carolina Central Eagles.

This will be the last non-conference game for the Bruins.
