UCLA Highlights: Bruins Dominate Trojans In Statement Win At Coliseum

This was an impressive win.

After a couple of rough weeks for your UCLA Bruins, they absolutely steamrolled the favored USC Trojans 38-20 at the Coliseum, their second consecutive stint dominating at the stadium.

The highlights are endless for UCLA, as they were in firm control of this one from the opening kickoff, outside of a shaky 10-0 USC second quarter.

Conversely, the lowlights were also pretty endless for the Trojans.

A 14-0 lead in the first quarter paved the path for USC to have to play from behind, killing their offensive flow and forcing them to throw a lot and essentially abandon the run.

This opened the door for UCLA's terrific pass rush to generate pressure on USC QB Caleb Williams, ensuring that he had to work incredibly hard for the little production he was able to muster up.

Offensively, UCLA ran the ball incredibly well, with running back T.J. Harden putting up 21 carries for 139 yards.

Starting quarterback Ethan Garbers, who has struggled as of late, was also solid, completing 18 of 31 passes for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Here are some of UCLA's top plays on the day:

This was a truly dominant performance, as despite the Bruins being out-gained when it comes to yardage, they seemed to be in full-control of the game as they used their defense to generate excellent field position, and their scoring efficiency limited their short-yardage drives.

We'll see what direction the program goes in with Chip Kelly and the quarterback carousel, but with a date with California on the calendar next week, expect the Bruins to pick up where they left off, as they might've just found their groove again.
