Another Bruin guard has been traded on Draft night.

Mere hours after Russell Westbrook went from the Washington Wizards to the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington turned right around and made a deal for another former UCLA men's basketball guard, Aaron Holiday. The Wizards traded the No. 22 pick – which they received from the Lakers as part of the Westbrook blockbuster – to the Indiana Pacers for Holiday and the No. 31 pick in Thursday's 2021 NBA Draft, per The Athletic's Sham Charania.

Kentucky forward Isaiah Jackson got picked No. 22 overall, meaning he'll be headed to Indiana in the deal.

The Pacers acquired the No. 31 pick earlier Thursday when they traded the No. 54 and No. 60 picks to the Milwaukee Bucks, who just won the 2021 NBA Championship with Aaron's brother, Jrue Holiday, running point.

Aaron Holiday was the No. 23 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, following his career year at UCLA in which he averaged 20.3 points and 5.8 assists per game on 42.9% 3-point shooting. Since arriving in the Association, Holiday has averaged 7.7 points and 2.4 assists in 18.9 minutes per game, all while shooting 37.2% from deep.

The 2019-2020 season marked a high point for Holiday, as he started 33 of 66 games played and posted career-highs in field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, free-throw percentage, points per game, assists per game, rebounds per game and steals per game.

Holiday stands to join a Wizards backcourt that boasts All-Star Bradley Beal, but lacks any other NBA experience. 2020 undrafted free agent Caleb Homesley is the only other guard on Washington's roster, which is chock-full of wings and bigs.

The Wizards picked Gonzaga small forward Corey Kispert No. 15 overall Thursday night, only adding to a position they already had covered and then some.

Neither Beal nor Homesley are true point guards, meaning Holiday may have a well-defined role carved out for him the minute he gets to the District.
