As any UCLA men's hoops fan worth their salt knows, your Bruins have a whopping nine (nine!) alumni actively participating in this year's NBA Summer League.

With the action now having moved to Las Vegas out of Sacramento, even more NBA clubs are now represented in the offseason mix.

Beyond being a showcase for the year's draft picks as they get their feet wet at the next level, Summer League is also a huge proving ground for young journeyman players hoping to find firmer footing in the world's most competitive pro hoops league.

Although the top UCLA alum in Summer League, newly-minted Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr., is out of commission tonight, two other Bruins are set to suit up this evening.

Shooting guard Amari Bailey's Charlotte Hornets (0-2 in Summer League play) will suit up against the Portland Trail Blazers (sans Scoot Henderson, who's out with a shoulder injury) tonight at 5:30 p.m. PT on NBA TV. Bailey, 19, was the No. 41 pick following a Pac-12 All-Freshman Team showing with the Bruins last season.

At 7:30 p.m. PT, still on NBA TV, wing Jules Bernard's Washington Wizards (1-1) are going to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs, who boast No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama, who at 7'4" with an 8' wingspan is as close to an immovable object as you're likely to find this year. Bernard, 23, played for two G League affiliate teams, the Detroit Pistons' Motor City Cruise and the Wizads' Capital City Go-Go, after he went undrafted last summer.
