Although most basketball fans may associate him a bit more with the star-studded Golden State Warriors teams he helped steward to six NBA Finals appearances and four wins during his 11 seasons with the club, Bob Myers got his first taste of the national basketball spotlight while winning an NCAA championship as a 6'7" backup forward with your UCLA Bruins.

Myers failed to come to terms with Golden State on an extension of his contract when the 2022-23 NBA season officially rolled over to 2023-24 on July 1st.

Although Myers claimed he wanted to take some time off before contemplating another front office gig, it doesn't appear that rival franchises are necessarily going to let that stop them. Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer expects teams who may have vacancies in their front offices to consider reaching out to the decorated four-time league champion and two-time NBA Executive of the Year.

Thanks to his pedigree with the Dubs, Myers has become a hot commodity, even if he's not officially on the market just yet.

It's pretty remarkable to have seen the ascent of Myers from a deep-bench reserve who averaged 1.4 points and 1.3 rebounds across his 76 collegiate regular season contests to the upper echelons of NBA power. His success story marks yet another happy adventure for a former Bruins baller.
