UCLA Basketball: First Look At Incoming International Guard In Bruins Threads
In the middle of August one wouldn't expect to see a lot coming from their college basketball team. The season starts in November and teams are weeks away from starting up practices.
While that may seem the case, for UCLA, the team is using the summer to build up chemistry and get new guys acclimated to the basketball blue blood.ย
As the summer continues, UCLA fans should have something to look forward to as the team's social media posted a video of the Bruin's star transfer in team gear.ย
Coming over from Utah, Lazar Stefanovic was the headliner of the Bruin's transfer class this offseason. The 6'7 Serbian was a star player with the Utes last season and is looking to be a big part of Mick Cronin's rotation this year.ย
Since he is new on the team, the junior has been putting in work in the offseason with his new team. In a video posted on Twitter, Stefanovic is seen practicing with his new teammates.
This video is the first time anyone has seen him in UCLA colors.ย
In his sophomore season with Utah, Stefanovic led the Utes in steals and was top three on the team in points per game and assists per game.ย
Stefanovic's game will transfer over well to LA. Last season he shot 36% from three, it is an area the Bruins are lacking in right now.ย
With Tyger Campbell and David Singleton both gone, UCLA will towards Stefanovic to be the team's reliable three-point shooter.ย
As the season gets closer, fans will really be able to understand what all the UCLA new guys' roles will be with the team.ย
