UCLA basketball has been known for its legendary players that have come through over the years. It has produced some of the greatest NBA players of all time, and it’s a big reason why the program has seen so much success.

But sometimes, it’s the players who aren’t the star-level athletes, who can make the biggest impact on the school. Sometimes it’s the role players that just find a bond with the school that just never goes away.

It’s always fun when a former player returns to campus, and for the Bruins they recently had one of these players return. Former player Alfred Aboya was seen hanging out on campus the other day, and it was a cool moment for everyone.

Aboya played for four seasons with UCLA during the mid-2000s, and he quickly became a fan favorite. He was never the best player on the court but he always hustled for every play. Aboya was loved due to his drive for the game of basketball, and it really resonated with the Bruin fans.

During his senior season with UCLA, Aboya averaged 9.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. It was his best season as a college athlete, and he was crucial to the success that the Bruins saw on the court.

Seeing him back in Pasadena is awesome, and he is always going to be welcomed back. Once you are a member of the Bruin family, it lasts for a lifetime.
