In this story:

The entire basketball community has been in shock the past couple of days after hearing that Bronny James suffered cardiac arrest at just 18-years-old and his athletic future is now up in the air. He is the son of Los Angeles Lakers' superstar LeBron James and was getting ready to kick off his freshman season at USC.

Therefore, anybody and everybody has been doing their best to show him support during this time while also giving him the best advice possible. Former UCLA forward Shareef O'Neal, son of NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, has been one of the many to do so as he had to undergo surgery for his own heart complications. The current G-League Ignite big man was diagnosed with anomalous coronary artery which caused an artery to grow in the wrong place.

O'Neal spoke to 'Good Morning America about what his conversations with Bronny have been like.

"Any questions you have, you can ask me," Shareef said of his message to Bronny. "I can probably answer them for you."

Time and time again, I've said how these celebrity athletes are held to such different standards compared to normal people but it's important to know that these health scares can happen to anybody.

The internet and social media can be a toxic place so it's great to see that Bronny has O'Neal and other close friends looking out for him. O'Neal already had to fight the fire to get to where he is today and we hope to see Bronny back on the court and healthy as soon as possible!
