In this story:

Your UCLA men's basketball team was able to hit the ground running on Tuesday as they faced off against the Madrid All-Stars in the first game of their international summer tour. The Bruins community has been waiting patiently to see how their new group gels together on the court after losing so many notable players this offseason and even though the full team was not able to make their way to Spain, they still put together quite the show.

Freshman guard Sebastian Mack took full advantage of his opportunity in this first official exhibition with the Bruins as he led the entire team in scoring with 17 points en route to a 76-68 victory over Madrid. Mack has been someone that head coach Mick Cronin has been raving about since they started summer workouts along with the rest of the coaching staff and coming out of high school, he was labeled as a scorer at heart.

It's also great to see Lazar Stefanovic active on the boards while also being another great scoring option for the Bruins. UCLA is going to be very versatile this coming season and they'll have multiple guys that they will look to when the offense runs stagnant and Stefanovic certainly will stay ready.

The Bruins are using this trip to Spain as a time to not only build chemistry on the court but also off the court as well. Cronin has spoken on how this is a very green group and if they want to have a special year, it all starts now.
