Despite many trade rumors circling him, former UCLA Bruin Jaime Jaquez Jr. is simply putting the work into improving his game each day no matter where the courts are.

The recent draft pick to the Miami Heat with their first round choice took it to one of his potential teammates in a recent pro-am showing this week.

On a runout for his team in the Miami Pro League, Jaquez filled the lane after a busted fast break and promptly received the ball to jam home for an emphatic two points.

Heat All-Star and potential future teammate of the former UCLA forward Bam Adebayo was also getting some work in, but could do nothing to stop the dunk.

Adebayo and the Heat are coming off of a surprising Finals run from their place in the play-in game.

After being the 7th seed by record, the Heat lost to the Hawks and had just minutes to save their season in the second play in game against the Chicago Bulls.

Max Strus played hero for Miami and the win from the eight seed sparked an improbable playoff run for the franchise.

Jimmy Butler and company dominated the top-seed Milwaukee Bucks en route to a five-game series win before doing it again when matched up with the New York Knicks in round 2.

Avoiding a blown 3-0 lead to the Boston Celtics, Adebayo and the rest of the Heat gritted their way to the NBA Finals.

Despite a series loss to Denver, Miami added Jaquez in the draft with their first round pick this season.

After a nice showing in Summer League, the former Bruin has been caught up in trade rumors for Damian Lillard all offseason long.

No matter where he suits up for his pro debut, Jaquez will hope to bring just some of this punch that he did on his pro-am slam to the NBA.
