UCLA Basketball: 4-Game Win Streak Encouraging Underdog Bruins
The UCLA Bruins have now won six of their last seven games after taking down the Stanford Cardinal on the road by a score of 82-74. The Bruins seem to have figured out their early season issues and now are looking like a dominant team on both ends of the floor.
UCLA has been led by their scoring defense, which ranks 1st in the Pac-12. It has allowed them to find their groove and take control of their season.
With the win over Stanford, UCLA has now won four straight games. Multiple members of the Bruins spoke about what it means to have this winning streak after the game.
“I wouldn’t say we are invincible, we are humble. We went through a tough spell at the beginning of the year, and we knew it wasn’t going to be fun if we kept going like that. We grew a lot and started playing harder.”

With the NCAA Tournament not far away, the Bruins are helping to solidify themselves as a potential sleeper. UCLA is a very young squad, but they have shown the ability to fight back against adversity.
“I think it's all about being the underdog and having that grit coming in to every game. A lot of people have been counting us out. We had a rocky start and I think just coming in, being together, and kind of being an underdog having a little chip on our shoulder.”

What head coach Mick Cronin and his staff have done is allowed the players to work through the issues that plagued them early on. It's been incredible to see play out, and UCLA now looks formidable within the Pac-12 Conference moving forward.
