For months on end, it feels like the community of the UCLA Bruins has been waiting for Aday Mara to agree to terms with his Basket Zaragoza squad to allow him to get out of his contract so he could make way to an American university before likely declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft.

Mara had reportedly made it clear that he wanted to commit to UCLA and terminate his contract with Basket Zaragoza in the process but their front office was not making it easy at all. Team officials were looking to do what was best for the organization and its image and instead made it known that the 7'2 star would have to pay out his contract if he wanted to leave anytime soon.

Well it looks like he and the team were able to come to an agreement as summer comes to an end. Mara took to his own Instagram message and shared a heartfelt message to Basket Zaragoza thanking them for his time there. He also shared that he will be moving on to play at an American university... one that many believe is UCLA.

"It has been a difficult decision because I am leaving home," said Mara. "I am moving away from my parents, my family, my friends and all for one reason: to be able to combine my personal and academic development at an American university with my sports development at the highest level."
