UCLA Basketball: Bruins Starter Injured, Late Scratch Vs USC

Uh oh.

Your UCLA Bruins will be without starting freshman power forward Berke Buyuktuncel ahead of their matchup tonight against the USC Trojans, per John W. Davis of The Long Beach Star-Telegram.

Per UCLA's Twitter/X account, the Trojans will start Boogie Ellis (returning from a three-game absence) and Kobe Johnson in its backcourt, redshirt senior transfer DJ Rodman at small forward, 6'11" redshirt senior Joshua Morgan at power forward, and sophomore Vincent Iwuchukwu at center. Both Bronny James and sophomore Oziyah Sellers have been demoted with the advent of Ellis' return, as head coach Andy Enfield appears determined to get big against the Bruins.

The Bruins' necessarily revised starters sans Berke, per the club's official Twittter/X account, will comprise sophomore guard Dylan Andrews and four-star freshman guard Sebastian Mack, ex-Utah Utes junior transfer swingman Lazar Stefanovic at small forward, freshman forward Brandon Williams getting the start at power forward, and 6'10" two-way big man Adem Bona at center.
