UCLA Basketball: Bruins To Face Their Most Formidable Future Big Ten Foe In December
With a huge 2023-2024 season ahead of them, your UCLA Bruins have finalized their roster with a number of their international prospects finally signing with the team for their freshman seasons. Even though the general basketball community isn't too aware with most of their play styles just yet, they will get very familiar over the next few months.
Considering that the Bruins will be making their way into the Big Ten Conference next year, they will be looking to finish off their time in the Pac-12 with a bang. Even though they lost some very seasoned veterans to the NBA after losing to Gonzaga in the 2023 March Madness tournament, they have definitely made the necessary moves to bounce back and the entire community will be watching very closely.
Therefore, it's even more exciting to think about all of the various opponents that the Bruins will be facing this year and how Sebastian Mack, Aday Mara and the rest of their newcomers will fare in their first season together.
It was recently announced that UCLA will face off against Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic and they will get the opportunity to play against a future top opponent in their new conference, via UCLA press release.
"UCLA and Ohio State will tip-off in the opening game at approximately 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET). The second game of the doubleheader will feature Kentucky and North Carolina. The two games will be broadcast on The CBS Television Network and available to stream live on Paramount+. This set of matchups – UCLA and Ohio State, along with Kentucky and North Carolina – was last featured in 2020 in Cleveland, Ohio. Ohio State defeated the Bruins, 77-70, while North Carolina took down Kentucky, 75-63. In a series that began on Dec. 31, 1936, UCLA has compiled a 6-5 all-time record against Ohio State."
