UCLA Basketball: Former Star Guard Shows Support for Football Squad

Making his way back!

Even though UCLA's football team suffered their first loss of the season to the Utah Utes on Saturday with a final score of 14-7, their community remains as positive and supportive as ever. Their offense had been red-hot the first few weeks of the season and everybody is confident that will continue despite this loss.

Johnny Juzang, former first-team All-Pac-12 guard from UCLA, actually dropped by to attend the match and support the same school that he helped lead to the Sweet 16.

Seeing that the game took place in Utah, this makes a lot of sense because Juzang currently is under contract with the Utah Jazz.

He spent most of last season with their G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, and averaged about 20 points, five rebounds and three assists in 17 games. He is still a young guard trying to find his way onto the official roster but seeing that the Jazz are focused around a young core right now, he'll likely fit right in this year.

The UCLA Bruins community will always have love for Juzang seeing that he made his way to the school after transferring from Kentucky University. He first made a name for himself in the California basketball scene playing for Harvard Westlake High School and Compton Magic and his career came full-circle when he made his way back to Los Angeles.

We hope for nothing but a successful season this year for J-Silky!
