Following last night's 71-63 home victory against the Oregon Ducks, your ascendant UCLA Bruins have improved to a .500 record (11-11 overall, 6-5 in the Pac-12) on the season, and have now won five of its last six contests.

Per UCLA Communications, Bruins head coach Mick Cronin explained how his extremely young club (featuring seven true freshmen) has managed to bounce back from its disappointing 6-10 start to the 2023-24 season.

“Obviously, we continue to grow as a team," Cronin said. "They made a big run at us. I think they made five threes in a row in the first half. Their five made threes in the first half we consecutive. I’m pretty sure. Big part of our game plan – look, they’re shooting almost 42 percent in the Pac-12 from the three-point line, making 9.8 a game. So, I was unhappy with the fact that we started letting them make threes. We won the game because they only made one in the second half. They’ve been lighting it up from the three-point line and they shoot it from multiple positions. Even tonight, they only had six makes, but they had four different guys make a three. Really, everybody 1-4 on their team shoots the ball."
