One of the biggest issues that can occur with players is losing confidence after not making crucial shots in games. Missing happens to everyone no matter what level they play at. The UCLA Bruins are certainly not perfect in that category, but what matters to Coach Mick Cronin is how the team reacts to missing.

During the press conference after the Bruins's big win, Coach Cronin had a hilarious response to players who get down on themselves for missing shots.

"Mick Cronin: "We still have guys that, you know, look like somebody stole their blankie when they were 4 years old when they miss a shot where Jaime, Jaylen Clark, Tyger —those guys just keep playing. But it takes time to train guys.”

Referring to players who get upset after missing shots as "somebody who stole their blankie," is hilarious.

Despite Coach Cronin making a joke, there is a lot of truth in the point he was trying to get across.

Everyone is going to miss shots. That is just a part of the game. If any player could hit their shots 100%, they would be the highest-paid player in the entire world.

Sadly, that is not mathematically possible. Everyone will miss shots, and those will occur multiple times in a game. What matters is being able to rebound from missing those shots.

Should a player miss a buzzer-beater, it's not the end of the world. Sure, it will sting for quite a while, but it's not going to end a career.

The Bruins came back in a big way yesterday after dropping the past four games. They looked like a more well-rounded squad for the first time in weeks. They will need to keep this momentum up to have a shot at the NCAA title.

Being able to rebound with confidence is the most important aspect of how this team can continue winning.
