Even though NBA scouts and analysts were not super set on Jaime Jaquez heading into the 2023 NBA Draft, there are just certain players that only get better with more years of experience under their belt. Four-year guys rarely get drafted in the first round because teams prefer younger names that have more time to develop but Jaquez is definitely special no matter how old he is right now.

And seeing that he got drafted to the Miami Heat, an organization that never counts anybody out and helps undrafted players sign big contracts after a couple of years with them, Jaquez's character and mentality fit perfect. He is coming off a senior season at UCLA where he led the group to a Sweet 16 appearance behind averages of 17 points on 48 percent from the field.

And not too long after getting selected by the Heat in the draft, he already hit the floor with some of their other young talent in summer league against the Los Angeles Lakers. Anybody that was not familiar with Jaquez's game got a great first look after he put LA's undrafted center Colin Castleton on a poster in the second quarter of Monday's game.

But his performance as a whole showed the world juts how polished and NBA-ready he is. The 6'7 guard was able to pour in 22 points along with three rebounds en route to Miami taking down the purple and gold 107-90.

And it's safe to say that the reactions on Twitter were overwhelmingly positive towards Jaquez's debut.

UCLA fans definitely knew this was going to happen and it's going to be amazing watching him the rest of the season!
