UCLA Basketball: Sebastian Mack Ejected After Flagrant 2 Foul Versus Utah
UCLA basketball's Sebastian Mack has been ejected from Sunday's game against Utah after a flagrant-2 foul that occurred halfway through the first half.
Mack was ejected after what appeared to be a blow from the forearm to the head and neck area of Utah's Branden Carlson, who is one of the Utes' best players. After briefly leaving following the hit, Carlson returned to the game several minutes later.
This is a significant loss for the Bruins, as Mack is their leading scorer. Mack is averaging 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season. There is, however, no excuse for taking a shot toward the face of Carlson in the middle of the court.
The Bruins will now have to increasingly rely on Adem Bona, Lazar Stefanovic and Dylan Andrews to put up points.
