UCLA basketball is not letting their recent loss to Arizona get to them. Though the loss cost the Bruins the chance to beat a ranked opponent and earned their third straight win, the Bruins have to accept the loss.

The win would've been ideal. Besides the importance of getting any and as many wins possible, this win could have truly signaled the Bruins were on the right direction after a bumpy start to the year.

Blowing a 17-point lead against one of their biggest rivals was tough, but not out of the ordinary for the sport. Sebastian Mack took on this perspective after the loss, and ahead of UCLA's next game.

“I mean, it’s college basketball. Stuff like this happens, but you just got to keep your head high,” Mack said. “We can only control what’s within us and just go from there.”

Overall, there are still reasons to be positive for UCLA. Aside from having a 17-point lead over Arizona in the first place, the Bruins' last three games have pointed that they're trending up, particularly after a four game losing streak that made the Bruins future look bleak for a stretch.

In addition, several of the Bruins are starting to show some improvement on the court. Mack led the Bruins in scoring against the Wildcats with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists while Lazar Stefanovic came in second with 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

UCLA's next opportunity is against rival USC. With the way the Trojans have been playing as of late, the Bruins have a strong chance to get back into the win column.
