Your UCLA Bruins' 2023-24 basketball season was bound to be different than the past few, as their core led by Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Tyger Campbell is gone.

As a result, there are a lot of questions about what this team is capable of, as the core and roster as a whole are almost completely new.

Sebastian Mack is answering a lot of those questions, as the 6'3" freshman guard from Henderson, Nevada has been terrific to start the season.

Against fourth-ranked Marquette on Monday, he put up 25 points, being by far the most aggressive and productive Bruin in the tough matchup.

His aggression was much to the excitement of this Southern California Basketball Hall of Famer:

KJ's testament to Mack's aggression is true, as the freshman can be an unstoppable force en route to the basket, displaying rim pressure beyond his years.

This is particularly important given how a concern for UCLA this year was offensive aggression and scoring, as losing important scorers year-over-year is hard for any program.

Mack is a player to watch, as it's indisputable that Mick Cronin will keep this team competitive irrespective of their personnel, and if someone has to step up and play well, the Coronado product is a prime candidate for that.
