The UCLA Bruins dropped a tough game at home to the rival USC Trojans over the weekend. This has led to many wondering what went wrong and questioning how good the Bruins actually are.

Guard Lazar Stefanovic broke down how the Bruins can respond going forward and what they need to do in their final few games. UCLA has four games remaining, starting with a matchup against Washington in a few days.

“It’s not over, we still have games to play. If we show that we play hard, and we play smart, we can play anybody and beat anybody. It’s not over, we have to find a way to come together again, and figure it out.”

UCLA has shown growth throughout the year, and they won't let one bad game deter them. While it was a tough game to drop, the Bruins know that they can compete against whoever takes the court against them.

They have a belief in themselves, which is something you can't shake. But their inexperience has come back to hurt them at different times this season.

Stefanovic was asked about the upcoming Pac-12 Tournament, but he focused on just finishing the year strong. He wants the rest of the team to worry about what they can control and nothing more.

“It doesn’t change much, I guess. Every game we come into, we try to win, every day, we try to get better. It doesn’t change too much. We’ve got to stay focused, to win every game for the rest of the year.”

If the Bruins can finish the year on a high note, plus have a solid run in the tournament, they may be able to make the big dance. It won't be easy, but this team has defied expectations all year long.
