In this story:

With the likes of Jaime Jaquez, Amari Bailey and Tyger Campbell all pursuing their NBA dreams now, that means the UCLA Bruins have a lot of production within their backcourt that needs to be covered next season. UCLA struggled to put the ball in the basket in their last few minutes of their final game of last season that resulted in a loss to Gonzaga. However, with a 6'6 scoring guard coming in next season in Jan Vide, he could be looking to take over.

Vide has solidified himself as one of the most skilled and patient shooters in all of international basketball and just watching him play recently for Slovenia in the FIBA U19 World Cup, it's easy to tell just how much opposing defense game plan for him. However, this did not faze him as despite Slovenia finishing in ninth place, he did his job as he finished third in total tournament scoring with just over 17 points per game.

But Vide knows that once he gets locked in with the Bruins soon, he has aspects of his game that he must work on if he wants to help them reached the promised land in the 2023-2024 season. He spoke on some goals and improvements he's aiming for himself during his recent outing with Slovenia.

"I need to improve on my shot, all of the ranges," said Vide. "I don't know what percentage I have right now but this is the thing I need to improve a little bit more. Probably, I need to get more confident in the hard situations around the rim and get more finishing in."

It's great to hear that Vide is already looking for ways he can better before he joins the Bruins, it's going to be very exciting seeing him grow all year!
