UCLA Basketball: Trojans-Bruins Matchup Schedule Finalized

The two Pac-12 clubs are both hovering a notch below .500 this season.

A timeline has finally been established for the men's basketball matchup between your UCLA Bruins and their Pac-12 crosstown rivals, the USC Trojans. The Cardinal and Gold will play host at the Galen Center.

Per USC's official Twitter/X account, the game is now slated to tip off next Saturday night, January 27th, at 5 p.m. PT. An exact broadcast destination, however, has yet to be determined. The Trojans note that the contest will either be shown on ESPN or ESPN2.

There's a chance that both storied programs will be able to stabilize a bit in time for their meeting.

The 8-9 Trojans (2-4 in the Pac-12) and your 7-10 Bruins (also 2-4 in the conference) have two more inter-conference matchups on the docket before then, against the No. 12 team in the country, the Arizona Wildcats, and Arizona State. USC will face Arizona tomorrow night and ASU this Saturday morning, while UCLA will square off against Arizona tomorrow night and Arizona Saturday afternoon.

UCLA has had a miserable go of it lately, having at one point dropped eight of nine contests. Mick Cronin has tinkered with his frontcourt rotations a lot lately. Supposed NBA lottery prospect Aday Mara has been incredibly raw on both sides of the ball, and has been in and out of the team's starting lineups. On paper, at least, UCLA boasts a theoretical size and defensive advantage. But in practice, that hasn't translated to consistent wins just yet.
