UCLA Basketball: Watch Ex-Bruins Guard Score First NBA Points Of Career
It's been a rough go for the former UCLA standout and Washington Wizards guard, Jules Bernard. After a stellar 2022 season, Bernard declared for the NBA Draft but went undrafted.Β
After going undrafted, the 23-year-old played with the Detroit Pistons G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. After one season with them, he was traded to the Wizards and eventually got a shot in the NBA. In his most recent game, Bernard tallied his first career points against the Philadephia 76ers and did it with some flair.Β
Watch Jules score his first NBA points of his young career.Β
The former Bruin finished the game with two points, one rebound, and one personal foul while shooting 1-for-4 from the field and 0-for-2 from three. The Wizards lost to the 76ers by a score of 146-101.Β
Bernard is no stranger to putting the ball in the hole. In his time at UCLA, he averaged 12.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while scoring 1,195 career points in the blue and gold.Β
This is a significant milestone for the youngster, and hopefully, that first bucket was the first in what will be a long and successful career for the Bruin.Β
