After not being 100% during last year's NCAA Tournament run, there is finally an update on a UCLA big man's injury.

Adem Bona has been dealing with a shoulder injury that he suffered during last year's Pac-12 tournament against Oregon. Unfortunately for him, the injury still has not healed yet.

While he had started doing basketball activities over the summer, Bona is not a full participant in practices.

Coming from an update from 247 Sports' Tracy Pierson, it seems that Bona has a couple more steps to being fully healthy.

"Sophomore post Adem Bona is still not through his recovery for the left shoulder injury he suffered at the end of last season. In summer workouts, and now in practice, he's able to do everthing but live action. We’ve heard, too, he's spent a great deal of time shooting in the offseason, and is getting pretty consistently accurate on his straight-away 15-foot-and-in jumper." (Via 247 Sports)

Even though he suffered the shoulder injury during the Pac-12 tournament, Bona played through it going into March Madness.

He reaggravated the injury during the Bruins Round of 32 matchup against Northwestern and missed the Sweet Sixteen when the team was ultimately defeated by Gonzaga.

Bona is an important member of the UCLA basketball team. The Pac-12 Freshman of the Year put up 7.7 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game and average more than a black a game.

As the only returning starter for the Bruins, Bona is expected to play a big role for the team this year.

UCLA is currently in Europe taking an exhibition tour around the continent. While Bona did make the trip, it is not expected that he will play in any of the games.

When the big man eventually does heal up, expected him to have a big second year at UCLA.
