In this story:

Your UCLA women's tennis squad has been able to find a ton of success over the past couple of seasons and it's clear that their scouts have quite the eye when it comes to spotting and being able to recruit talent.

However, with UCLA being known as an academic school before anything else, they also ensure that any players they welcome in prioritize their studying before anything else. The coaching staff, trainers and advisors all make sure that members of the roster keep this in the back of their minds at all times and it looks like with the wrap of this most recent tennis season, they made everybody involved proud.

Six Bruins from the women's tennis team took home ITA Scholar-Athlete awards.

"UCLA women's tennis earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition for the sixth consecutive year Monday from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Individually, six Bruins were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Awards were presented solely for the 2022-23 academic year and did not take into account cumulative grade-point averages (GPAs). In order for a team to receive the All-Academic honor, it must have turned in a GPA of 3.2 or better. Scholar-Athletes held GPAs of 3.5 and above."

Rounding out the list were freshmen and . Each of the six student-athletes has made the cut every year she has been eligible. Catanzarite, Ong, Vagramov and previously received academic accolades in May, when each was tabbed to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team for Division I."

We love to see these women collecting such accolades and we hope they continue to do so in the coming seasons!
