UCLA's New Assistant Basketball Coach Once Suited Up for Biggest Rival School
Your UCLA Bruins have been super active when it comes to adding new names to their program as of late and they've been preparing for their final season as a part of the Pac-12 Conference. Aday Mara finally officially signed with the school with Berke Buyuktuncel rumored to be on the way next.
However, outside of just their players roster, their coaching staff has also grown as well thanks to updated rules that allow them to have two more assistants. One of them is none other than Brendyn Taylor, someone who has plenty of recent coaching experience as a member of St.John's staff and also played professionally for some time in Germany.
But Taylor also once suited up for a university that UCLA fans know well... and that is none other than the University of Southern California. Taylor spent two seasons with the Trojans where he appeared in a total of 32 games and shot around 34 percent from the field.
Here is what he had to say about getting accustomed to USC and the college level of basketball.
"Transitioning has been kind of hard," said Taylor. "You have to get used to the pace, more physical, bigger bodies, it's a job. But I think that overall, I've done pretty well."

It is crazy to think that Taylor already has a ton of college basketball experience under his belt and even though he performed in the city for a different school, UCLA will still benefit having him onboard.
It is far different when you actually know what it's like to be in the player's position and it'll be great to see how both incoming guys and returners will thrive under his guidance.
