In this story:

NBA fans, or should I say UCLA fans, are in for quite the treat today as summer league is kicking off a little bit early thanks to the annual California Classic and the first game was a match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

The Bruins community was super excited to see Jaime Jaquez get his first taste of NBA action after getting drafted number 18 by Miami in the first round and after spending the last four years in college, his biggest dream was finally coming true.

And Jaquez wasted no time in giving us an immediate highlight as he attacked the rack and threw down a thunderous dunk on former Florida big man Colin Castleton to get the crowd to their feet.

Take a look down below!

Spending all that time in college did Jaquez well as he was able to polish up his game and standing at 6'7, he has great size at the guard position and can see the floor better than others. He had his best season in 2022 at UCLA as he was able to average 17 points and eight rebounds before declaring for the NBA Draft.

He is already looking like one of the most experienced and comfortable players out there right now and we are super excited to watch him in the rest of the tournament!
