UCLA Women's Volleyball: Bruins Vanquish Colorado In Clean Sweep

UCLA aced its third Pac-12 test of the season.

Your UCLA Bruins women's volleyball team avenged its loss in straight sets against the sixth-seeded Oregon Ducks last week with a late-night home defeat of the Colorado Buffaloes this week, in its third Pac-12 matchup of the year, per a team press release.

At Pauley Pavilion on Friday night, the Bruins beat Colorado 3-0, with set scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-17. UCLA's record improved to 9-4 on the year, and it notched its first victory against a Pac-12 inter-conference rival this season (it's now 1-2) in the process.

UCLA was paced by 6'4" sophomore outside/opposite hitter Grayce Olson's game-most 13 kills and two blocked shots. That said, the Bruins enjoyed a fairly well-balanced attack against the 9-5 Buffaloes. Six-foot sophomore outside hitter Cheridyn Leverette had nine kills (including one ace) and a block, 6'2" senior ouside/opposite hitter Iman Ndiaye logged 10 kills and four blocks, and 6'5" redshirt senior Anna Dodson notched eight kills and five blocks.

This Sunday, at 12 p.m. PT (viewable on the UCLA Live Stream), the Bruins will face off against their next opponent, the 6-7 Utah Utes. It will represent their chance to redeem their Pac-12 conference record to .500 for the season.
