UCLA Women's Volleyball: 3 Bruins Earn Impressive Scholastic Honor
Three of your UCLA Bruins women's volleyball stars have been burning the midnight oil in the library and the gym this season.
6'2" senior outside/opposite hitter Iman Ndiaye, 5'7" junior defensive specialist/libero Peyton Dueck, and 6'0" sophomore outside hitter Cheridyn Leverette have all earned a spot on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-Ditrict Team, according to UCLA Communications.
Next up, this stellar triumvirate will get a shot at potential CSC Academic All-American bids. The results of that will be revealed on January 9th, 2024.
Ndiay is set to graduate this spring with a bachelor's degree in communications, while Dueck is majoring in psychology. Leverette has yet to determine a primary field of study.
They're all pretty lethal on the court, too.
Ndiaye's 441 points and 375 kills (11th in the Pac-12) paced UCLA this season. For her efforts, she also earned an AVCA Pacific South All-Region Team selection and an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. Leverette notched 288 kills, while her 25 service aces ranked most among the Bruins. Dueck, a native of Aptos, California, notched 358 digs this season, 11th most in the conference.
