Saint Ignatius (San Francisco, CA) 2025 offensive tackle John Mills is a wanted man. He's got offers from Washington, UCLA, Nebraska, Cal, Michigan, Texas, and Tennessee to name a few. The 6-6 300-pound left tackle was fresh off a game-winning drive that propelled Saint Ignatius past Valley Christian (San Jose, CA) in round one of the Open/Division one Central Coast Section playoffs when AllBruins.com caught up with him. Mills helped his offense drive down the field to score the go-ahead touchdown in the final minutes of the game.

"You know, you never win a game in the first half. It's always going to come down to the final moments when you're tired next to your brother. It's always going to come down to determination," said Mills.

UCLA offered Mills back in June. This was after he had visited Westwood during the spring for a Bruin practice. "It was really cool.", said Mills of his experience watching the Bruins practice. "I like Coach Drevno and Coach Kelly a lot. And you know the intensity of practice was really cool, really exciting. I have a great bond with those coaches".

"It's academic first" when we asked what he is looking for in a school. "Football ends for everyone at some point and you have to have a great degree to go farther in life. Academics, the brotherhood, the coaches really, and how much I like the town. And, playing time of course".

At the moment, no school has been sticking out to Mills in his recruitment. He also has no visits scheduled. AllBruins.com will be keeping tabs Mills as his recruitment unfolds.
