By all accounts, last season was impressive for UCLA women's basketball.

The Bruins advanced to the championship of the Pac-12 Tournament, and made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 1 overall seed (and Final Four-bound South) Carolina.

UCLA is trying to build on that quality campaign this time around, a journey that started with three exhibition games as part of the Bruins foreign tour.

UCLA ended the trip with a flight to Germany, where they went on a tour of European soccer powerhouse Bayern Munich's stadium, before taking on TS Jahn München, a professional team based in Munich.

The team didn't prove to be much competition for the Bruins, and UCLA beat them 126-23 to finish their foreign tour.

You read that right. The Bruins vanquished a group of pros by a whopping 103 points.

There are some caveats to that final tally, of course.

A number of TS Jahn Munchen players didn't play in the game due to illness, but it's still more than an impressive tune up for the Bruins ahead of the 2023-2024 regular season. To be fair, the Bruins were also missing key point guard Kiki Rice, sidelined with an injury of her own.

Seven Bruins reached double figures in the victory, led by sophomore Gabriela Jaquez, who tallied 27 points.

UCLA is expected to again be Pac-12 contenders in their final season in the conference, and they boast an impressive roster with star forward Charisma Osborne, Rice, and guard/forward Jaquez.

Time will tell how the Bruins do when they reach the regular season, but this win may just be an indication of success to come for UCLA this year.
