UCLA Women's Basketball: 2 Bruins Commits Secure All-American Honor
UCLA Bruins class of 2024 senior high school recruits Kendall Dudley and Zania Socka-Nguemen have been invited to the 2024 McDonald's All-American Games, slated for Tuesday, April 2nd in Houston, per a Bruins tweet.
They'll both be playing for the East team, and their matchup is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN 2 at 3:30 p.m. PT.
The McDonald's All-American Games are showcases for the most elite prep school talent in the nation, and thus clear endorsements of both Dudley and Socka's upside and present aptitude.
Dudley, a 6'2", five-star wing out of Sidwell Friends School's in Washington, D.C. (also her once and future teammate Kiki Rice's alma matter), is the top-ranked player at her position from among her senior class. She committed to UCLA in April, forgoing offers from Virginia Tech, Texas, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Michigan, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Howard, Rhode Island and James Madison.
Socka-Nguemen is a 6'3" forward who's also at Sidwell Friends School and is an AAU teammate of Dudley's. She's ranked as the No. 26-best overall prospect among their graduating class.
This dynamic duo will be joining a loaded UCLA team that, outside of grad student Charisma Osborne, will return the core of a (currently) 15-2 roster that appears poised to compete for NCAA Tournament glory this spring.
