In the Bruins' victory over Arizona last Friday, Rice put up 20 points — her third highest point total of the season — along with three rebounds and two assists. Two days later, Rice put up 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists in a dominant 78-45 win over Arizona State.
Beyond the totals, Rice was incredibly accurate shooting this weekend. Rice shot 75% from the field against Arizona, and 62.5% from the field against Arizona State. She also hit all of the three-pointers that she attempted over the weekend.
This was Rice's third student athlete of the week award, and just another accolade to add to her stunning resumé. Rice was also named to the Naismith Women's Player of the Year midseason team and was part of the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team a season ago. Before her college career, she was the Gatorade Player of the Year and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year.
Rice will get her next opportunity to put up more big numbers on the court this Friday, when the No. 9 Bruins take on No. 11 Oregon State.
