Colorado's leading scorer Frida Formann was sent to the ground after trying to beat UCLA forward Gabriela Jacquez to the block at the 6:25 mark of the third quarter during a hotly contested matchup.

In front of a record home crowd, Formann was called for a blocking foul and was clutching her midsection as she lay on the hardwood. She walked off under her own power with hands on her hips, as Brian Howell of Buffzone reports.

Formann, a 5'11'" senior guard from Denmark, ranks third on the team in points per game with 13.4 on .447/.430/.893 shooting splits.. She had 10 when she exited the game.

UPDATE:

Formann eventually returned to the game in an effort to help her third-ranked Buffs secure the W against the fifth-ranked Bruins. It remains close here in the second half.
