It should be the thought that counts.

It sounds so romantic when the man tells the woman's parents that he wants to propose at the UCLA-Arizona women's basketball game just a few days before Valentine's Day.

Until it ends in heartbreak.

In front of thousands of fans at Pauley Pavilion on Friday, there was a failed proposal.

The way Gavin Carlson of the Daily Bruin described it on social media makes it sound extra cringeworthy.

Fans shared Carlson's post and questioned whether or not it was a skit. They couldn't believe what the legendary arena had witnessed.

Others were stunned that someone could say no so close to the most romantic day of the year.

All Bruins couldn't find the video on social media but hopefully, the couple can talk about it. After the game of course.

But if her answer actually is no, ice cream is always a good option to ease the pain. And we hear Diddy Riese is open late.
