UCLA Women's Basketball: Star Guard's Huge Night Powers Bruins Over Cal
Charisma Osborne could not be stopped on Friday night in No. 7-ranked UCLA's win over the Cal Bears in Berkeley, Calif.
The graduate student had her fifth career 30-point game finishing with 32. She also set season highs in points, field goals made (14), and field goal attempts (20).
Osborne scored 21 points in the first half (9-for-13) and 11 in the second (5-for-7).
UCLA took advantage of Cal turnovers throughout the game. The Bears had 16 turnovers and the Bruins scored 28 points off of them.
Center Lauren Betts missed her third game in a row and her presence was missed when he came to defending Cal's Ugonne (Michelle) Onyiah in the paint. The junior led the Bears with 19 points.
Londynn Jones and Angela Dugalic also reached double-digits for the Bruins with 18 and 12 points.
Osborne found the ball and the net from the start. This play is when the game felt like a big one for the guard.
