UCLA Women's Basketball Signs First-Ever Full-Team NIL Deal With Wescom Credit Union

In a historic move, the entire UCLA Women's Basketball team will partner with Wescom Credit Union in an effort to improve financial education.
In this story:

Through the wire today came an NIL partnership announcement by Wescom Credit Union and the UCLA Women's basketball team. This is the first time an entire team at UCLA is being included in an NIL deal, and it comes three weeks before the start of their season.

Wescom Credit Union and UCLA Athletics are established partners. Pauley Pavilion, Presented by Wescom, is actually the official name of the home court for both UCLA basketball programs.

What is the purpose of this partnership? Ashley White, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Wescom Credit Union, elaborated on the just-announced partnership:

“We are proud to offer our continued support and comprehensive financial resources to the Bruin community, helping build better lives on and off campus.”

Bruins guard Londynn Jones had this to say regarding the partnership:

"My goal is to play professional basketball after I graduate, so I really value the financial education they provide to UCLA student-athletes. And as a Bruin who grew up in SoCal, I particularly appreciate Wescom's commitment to supporting UCLA and all Southern Californians through their charitable giving and community involvement."

The partnership looks, at least in part. To consist of Wescom featuring the UCLA women's basketball team across their social media channels, in-game features, and other places.
