How To Watch: UConn WBB vs Creighton
STORRS, Conn. – The 11th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (6-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) returns to play after 21 days vs. Creighton (10-3, 5-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network.
The Huskies' last four games vs. Marquette, DePaul, Georgetown and Villanova were canceled due to COVID. Per the BIG EAST's game cancelation policy, the conference office will attempt to reschedule the games.
UConn's last game was Dec. 19, 2021, a 69-64 loss to then-No. 6 Louisville at Mohegan Sun Arena. Freshman Caroline Ducharme led the Huskies with 24 points and eight rebounds in the game.
The Huskies are without sophomore Paige Bueckers, freshman Azzi Fudd and junior Aubrey Griffin due to injuries. Sophomore Nika Mühl will be available Sunday for the first time since Dec. 5 after missing the last three games with an injury.
UConn is 3-0 all-time vs. Creighton. The teams faced off twice last season: an 80-47 UConn win in Storrs on Dec. 17 and an 81-49 UConn win in Omaha on Feb. 25.
Creighton moved to 5-0 in league play with a 62-45 win over Marquette Friday. This season, Emma Ronsiek leads the Bluejays with 12.4 points per game. Head coach Jim Flanery is in his 20th season at Creighton.
