North Carolina earned their third commitment of the offseason via the transfer portal on Thursday, as Notre Dame transfer Cormac Ryan announced his intentions to spend his final season in Chapel Hill (On3).

Ryan spent the last three seasons with the Fighting Irish after beginning his career at Stanford.

The New York, NY native averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game this past season, while adding in four rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He connected on 34.4 percent of his shots from three-point range and was an 82.7 percent free throw shooter.

Over two matchups against the Tar Heels in 2023, Ryan combined for 22 total points and four three-pointers.

Ryan will bring a plethora of experience to Chapel Hill, as he has appeared in 116 games with 87 starts in his career. Combining his defensive tenacity with his 35.2 three-point percentage for his career, Ryan will look to make an impact on both ends of the floor for North Carolina.

Hubert Davis and company still have three scholarships remaining ahead of the 2023-2024 season. How with the Tar Heels round out their roster heading into Davis' third season at the helm?
