Ahead of the expectation-filled 2023 campaign, North Carolina football players are taking advantage of their status, signing an NIL deal with Jimmy's Famous Seafood.

Star quarterback Drake Maye along with wide receivers J.J Jones, Andre Greene Jr., Devontez Walker, Nate McCollum, Kobe Paysour, and Gavin Blackwell have partnered with the Baltimore-based restaurant.

According to the press release from Heels4Life NIL, the seven athletes will be provided discount codes from the restaurant, allowing users to receive a 25 percent discount on their first order.

They will take to social media to promote the company and encourage others to visit both their website, where they can have meals shipped to their home or business, and their restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland.

In the release, Maye expressed his excitement to work with the company.

"I'm excited for Jimmy's Seafood to partner with Heels4Life and work with me and my teammates," said Maye. "They are stepping up big to support us. Looking forward to the meals coming!'

Jimmy's Seafood is owned by John Mindadakis, an avid supporter of North Carolina athletics.

"We couldn't be more exited to enter this partnership with these outstanding student-athletes," said Mindadakis in the press release. "This is an overdue opportunity for them to showcase their talents and personality both on and off the field."

This isn't the first time that Mindadakis and Jimmy's Famous Seafood have worked together with a North Carolina athlete. Last year, they partnered with Tar Heel basketball standout Armando Bacot, creating the NIL pipeline from Baltimore to Chapel Hill.
