The decommitment and departure of Simeon Wilcher from North Carolina's 2023 class may have overshadowed some exciting news in Chapel Hill.

With the classification of Elliott Cadeau and the long-lasting commitment of Zayden High, the Tar Heels maintain a two-man recruiting class headed into the 2023-2024 season.

Earlier this week, both Cadeau and High arrived in Chapel Hill ahead of summer workouts and classes.

The Carolina Basketball Twitter page showcased the two freshmen, as they already donned UNC gear on the practice court.

The duo of Cadeau and High combined to give the Tar Heels the No. 16 ranked recruiting unit in the class of 2023.

Cadeau, who was once part of North Carolina's 2024 class that remains No. 1 in the country, announced his intentions to reclassify on May 30. He immediately became a consensus five-star prospect in 2023, coming in as the No. 2 point guard and No. 11 rated player.

High has been committed to Hubert Davis and company since November, holding firm in his pledge to the Tar Heels. He is a four-star power forward out of Spring Branch, Texas and rated as the No. 69 overall recruit in his class.

The arrival of Cadeau and High marks the official beginning of a new season in Chapel Hill, as North Carolina looks to rebound following a disappointing 2022-2023 campaign.

While the two freshmen have made their way to campus so has the four man transfer class for the Tar Heels. Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram, Notre Dame transfer Cormac Ryan, Louisville transfer Jae'lyn Withers, and Brown transfer Paxson Wojcik are also in Chapel Hill, giving the UNC coaching staff a full roster for summer workouts.
