Five-star Boogie Fland trims list to eight

The UNC basketball target is rated as the No. 8 player in the class of 2024.

North Carolina, even with the reclassification of Elliot Cadeau, holds the No. 1 recruiting class in 2024.

On Monday, they received news that one of, if not the biggest, target remaining trimmed his list to eight.

Five-star guard Boogie Fland cut his list of finalists, naming the Tar Heels among those still in the running for his services.

Although it has been reported by various outlets that communication between the two parties has tapered off, Fland still holds North Carolina in high enough regards to include them about the contenders.

Fland is rated as the No. 2 player in the state of New York and the eighth-best player in the country.

According to Andrew Slater, the 6-foot-3 guard is hoping to take four official visits this fall.

Fland has previously taken official visits to North Carolina and Michigan, visiting Chapel Hill in September of 2022.

While the No. 1 ranking for the Tar Heels in 2024 seems to be locked in, will they add another five-star standout in Fland?
