Week one for UNC football is still over a month away, yet pundits are beginning to put together predictions for the 2023 campaign.

Following a 9-1 start a year ago, the Tar Heels will look to replicate their early season performance in their last season with Drake Maye.

On Monday, Athlon Sports released their bowl projections for the ACC and North Carolina is one of 10 schools expected to make the postseason.

The Tar Heels are projected to face-off against Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 29 in Jacksonville.

North Carolina is 5-2 all-time in the bowl game, most recently earning a 42-3 victory over Virginia Tech in 1998.

Ole Miss has made just three appearances, holding a 1-2 record.

The two programs have yet to square off on the gridiron in their history, making for a potential must-see matchup in December.

North Carolina will open up the 2023 campaign on Sept. 3 against South Carolina at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Will the Tar Heels exceed expectations in Mack Brown's fifth year at the helm?
